NEW SECURITY GATE INSTALLATION 11-13 November 2026
It is unfortunate that, in today’s environment, increased security has become necessary, particularly as people continue to ignore our Private Property signs. To help protect the Club, a new security gate will be installed next week, between Wednesday 11 and Friday 13 November.
Access during installation
Normal access will be closed for these three days. Please use the entrance at the Superintendent’s Cottage, about 30–40 m past the bus stop (see image below).
This entrance hasn’t been used for over 20 years, so Josh is clearing it for next week. Once the gate is installed, it will be resealed and made secure. As this is Josh’s family home, please be mindful of his privacy when using this entrance. Thank you.
Gate hours and access from Saturday 14 November (possibly late Friday 13 November)
- The gate will open at 7am and close at 3pm daily.
- After 3pm, phone 0494 888 768 on arrival and the gate will open. It will close as soon as it senses a car has driven through. We suggest saving this number in your phone now.
- The gate will only respond to member phone numbers that have been entered into the system. Please check your number in the online directory and let us know by end of Thursday 12 November, 2026 if it needs updating. If you have trouble accessing the directory, please email the Club.
- Proximity to gate: you do not need to be in front of the gate for it to open as it will open whenever you dial the number.
- If you’re leaving after 3pm, drive up to the sensors and the gate will open automatically and close behind you.
- Unaccompanied guests must arrive before 3pm, or you, as the hosting member, will need to call the number as they are nearing the gate.
- Driving through behind another car: one or two cars will be able to drive through before the gate closes.
- Deliveries to the club after 3pm: all deliveries to the Club should be before 3pm
If you encounter any problems with the gate, use the button on the unit, which is linked to Josh’s phone – this is not for use by guests as he finishes work at 3pm.
